#1 Kaleidoscope
An optical instrument that creates beautiful, symmetrical patterns through the use of mirrors and colored glass or beads. Each turn creates a new, intricate and colorful design.
#2 Mosaic
A piece of art made from the assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. These pieces, called tesserae, are used to create an image or pattern.
#3 Prism
A transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that refract light. When white light passes through it, it is separated into its constituent spectral colors, creating a rainbow effect.
#4 Polygon
A plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles, and typically five or more. Abstract art often uses brightly colored polygons to create dynamic compositions.
#5 Mandala
A complex, abstract design that is usually circular in form. In fact, 'mandala' is a Sanskrit word that means 'circle'. Mandalas are often filled with a variety of geometric shapes and vibrant colors.
