Today was a special day for Lily! She was finally old enough to visit the Happy Paws Animal Shelter with her mom. Lily loved animals, and she couldn't wait to help.

First, they met Max, a bouncy brown dog with a wagging tail. "Woof!" barked Max happily. Then, a fluffy orange cat named Whiskers purred hello from a cozy bed. Many animals here need love and care.

Lily learned so much! She helped fill water bowls for the puppies and gave yummy food to the kittens. "It's important to keep them fed and hydrated," her mom explained. Lily also brushed a soft bunny, making it feel loved.

Later, Lily got to play with a playful black and white dog named Spot. She threw a ball, and Spot chased it with all his energy! "Playing helps them stay happy and healthy," said a volunteer. Every animal needs playtime!

Before leaving, Lily saw a family adopting a small, shy dog. The dog wagged its tail so fast! Lily felt so happy. Animal shelters help animals find wonderful new families. It was a wonderful day helping these special friends.
