Meet Pip, a cheerful red sock with white polka dots. One day, after a tumble in the washing machine, Pip found himself all alone! "Where is my partner?" he wondered. He looked under the laundry basket, but no other red sock was there. Pip felt a little bit sad and a little bit brave. He decided to go on an adventure to find his missing friend.

Pip wiggled out from under the laundry basket. He rolled past a big, fluffy towel and peeked behind a tall, dark chair. "Hello?" he squeaked. Suddenly, he saw something shiny! It was a tiny toy car. Pip climbed on top of the car. "Vroom, vroom!" he imagined, as the car slowly moved across the floor. This was exciting!

The toy car stopped near a bright green plant. Pip jumped off. He heard a soft "Meow!" A fluffy orange cat with big green eyes was looking at him! "Are you lost too?" asked the cat, gently nudging Pip with its nose. Pip nodded. "I'm looking for my friend," he whispered. The cat purred. "Maybe I can help you look!"

Pip and the friendly cat, whose name was Mitten, explored together. Mitten sniffed under the sofa, and Pip peeked behind a pile of books. They didn't find the other red sock, but they found a shiny button and a bouncy rubber ball! They played with the ball for a little while, giggling (well, Pip wiggled, and Mitten purred). They were having so much fun!

Just as they were getting sleepy, a kind hand picked Pip up! It was a child, Lily. "Oh, my missing red sock!" she exclaimed. Lily put Pip on her hand. "Look, Mitten! We found Pip!" Mitten purred happily. Lily then found Pip's partner right inside the pocket of a forgotten jacket! Pip was so happy to be reunited. He had a great adventure and made a new friend, Mitten!
